2022 Season Updates

“This is the day that the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)

Jun 12, 2022

In light of easing Public Health restrictions in Ontario, the Board of Lake Joseph Community Church has decided to resume summer church services without any of the restrictions previously in place during the pandemic.

The Board recognizes that there are currently different views on social distancing and mask wearing, and so If you feel the need to wear a mask and/or socially distance while at the church, we encourage you to do what you are most comfortable with. We will endeavour to provide seating outdoors on the patio on days when the weather is suitable to make social distancing possible.

The well-being of our worshipping community is very important. Please do not attend worship if you feel unwell or if you are experiencing any Covid-like symptoms.

We will continue to monitor Public Health recommendations and if the situation changes, we will modify our approach guided by the best available evidence.

We look forward to seeing you at church!

Dear Friends of Lake Joseph Community Church,

Your Board of Directors are thrilled to be welcoming you back for worship and fellowship at our beloved Lake Joe Church this summer! Each Sunday, during the summer and on Thanksgiving Sunday, we will be rejoicing together for in-person worship. We do so hope you will be able to join us! We have a wonderful line-up of Worship Leaders this summer and we look forward to joining with them as they lead us in praising and glorifying God.

Unfortunately, the Covid virus has not gone away, and your Board will be meeting in early June to discuss what protocols will need to be in place for our in-person worship. We are fortunate to have options for worship of being in the Church or participating on the patio. Please check back in June for the latest update on what protocols are in place at the time of your church attendance as these may change over the course of the summer.

As we reopen, we are looking for helpers in various areas of our Sunday worship. If you can help in the following areas, please speak with the identified Board Member below:

  • Greeting at the door, ushering people to seats, or collecting the offering (Bill Evans)
  • Helping nurture our young attendees in the Sunday School (Rick Belknap)
  • Preparing and serving refreshments after the service (Peggy Peacock)
  • Placing flowers in the Church (Barry Peacock)

We are looking forward to seeing you!

Yours in Christ,

Barry

Barry R. Peacock, Chairman (on behalf of the Directors of LJCC)
